MUSEUM OF LA PLATA (Argentina)

The ethnographic collections are composed of over 4.700 pieces and include an ethnomusicological section. The majority belongs to the Argentinian territories.
The Museum has a documentary corpus formes by vocabularies of indigenous groups from Argentina and south America which constitute a little-known heritage referred to the intangible heritage, formed by the registration of the languages of the northwest regions : Chaco, Pampa, and fuego Patagonia. It registered between the end of the 19 th century and the middle of the 20 th century.
Since 1906 the Museum of La Plata is a universitary Museum belonging to the school of natural sciences of the National University of La Plata, being considered one of the most important Natural History Museum of Latin America.
